Tammy is a television producer, publisher, author, theologian, and founder of the global I Am Dragonfly movement—a transformational program reaching over half a million people worldwide, inspiring people to rise above their current life to become who God created them to be.
But her influence was forged long before stages and studios.
Abandoned at the age of two, Tammy grew up carrying a deep wound of worthlessness that shaped her early decisions and relationships. At twenty-two, her life changed forever when she was convicted of a murder she did not commit. Facing the possibility of death row, she took an Alford plea at her mother’s insistence, and ultimately received a sixty-year sentence, and served thirty years in prison.
What could have ended her life instead became her formation.
During her incarceration, Tammy earned a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Theology, and a Master’s degree in Divinity through correspondence study. Prison became her seminary. She authored and published two Christian books while incarcerated and developed multiple inmate development programs that are still utilized within the Department of Corrections.
Upon her release after three decades, Tammy stepped into an entirely new world—one without the internet when she entered and fully digital when she exited. Within two months, she launched a publishing house. Within twelve months, it became a six-figure business. She later founded a multimedia network producing television programming, publishing authors, and leading full-scale publicity campaigns.
Today, Tammy speaks across stages and platforms, guiding audiences through transition, resilience, faith under pressure, and the process of “getting your wings.” Her message is not theoretical—it is lived. Her theological training anchors her teaching in Scripture. Her life experience brings authenticity few can match.
